Comments:
It's unfortunate the paint is so utterly poor because otherwise, this is a great cage. Literally, the paint chipped off at every point of contact after 100km of riding.

Weighs nothing, looks amazing, mounted easy, holds bottle perfectly.

Can't say I would recommend. Have had several and they suffer from two problems: 1. They just don't hold larger water bottles securely. 90 percent of the time fine, but when you hit that unforeseen bump or pothole the bottle can launch. 2. The plastic retention lip inevitably breaks off, at which point the cage won't hold the bottle at all and is effectively useless.

Comments:
Pretty good cage and value. If you are NOT a competitive cyclist or have money to burn this is the way to go. You wont notice the weight difference between this and carbon. If the lbs matters, fill water bottle to 3/4 or eat more fiber.

Purchased black one, saw the other review about it chipping and decided to balance the rating. I have had no problems whatsoever. I have used it daily for about 6 months and the cage is still brand new. One of the cheaper priced cages but I do not see a difference.

Works well...a function over form addition. If purchasing for vanity reasons, move on. In first weeks of use the red paint began giving away to reveal white nylon underneath. Perhaps white version would be better. I liked the matching color but if you want a clean look...not the way to go. That said, haven't dropped a bottle yet! I'll probably live with the minor disappointment.

Changed from an aluminum cage to this one. Better grip than metal; even holds odd shaped bottles. This was a far better investment than the $8 I spent on a generic aluminum cage, and looks cool too!

Comments:
I own 2 pairs of these cage. My first pair I bought about 2 1/2 years ago and still using the same pair. I have never lost a bottle using these cage and I've been on some bumpy roads. I do road biking so I'm not sure how they would hold out for MTB. They are very light and looks cool on your bike. Don't waste your money on overated high priced carbon!

I think this is a great product. Works well with most water bottles, but does not work well with Clean Canteens available at [@]

I've never had any problems...what more can you want than a cage that never gives you trouble? I'm not sure why you would ever fork out [$] for the carbon version...
